Don't get me wrong. For a 15 lb keyboard the SK1 pack quite a punch of features. But compromises had to be made to make it all fit in both size and price-point.
It will now be interesting to see what Suzuki does with the XK3c series. If they update their leslie sim and overdrive to be
"Vent-worthy".
I still think that the SK series is at a slight disadvantage due to its inability to load third party samples (like the Electro 3). Let's see if Nord makes the electro multi-timbral and adds a vent-worthy sim. Then things will get very interesting.

I’ll put something out there sometime today. I gigged out of town Friday, had a long gig on Saturday afternoon/evening with a good drive, and played last nite as well, and am trying to get caught up at work, but the Cliff Notes version is this thing is a winner. I’m glad….I had sold my XK1 two weeks ago to get it, which I never do before I play something, but the offer on my XK1 was too good to pass up, so I had to roll the dice. NO REGRETS, and I’m pairing it up with a NordStage 2, which is no slouch.

That's a pretty decent overview of where we're at now. I too have
appreciated the feedback on the Keyboard Magazine forum. We'll have to see
what Tony has to offer.
Hopefully Hammond will be willing to improve the Leslie simulation in future
os upgrades after the major 'bugs' are cleaned up. There seems no reason
why they can't do that considering the performance of our Ventilators.

There are a few reviews on the Keyboard Magazine forum. In a nutshell...
Pros: weight, keyboard feel, can play two voices at the same time.
Cons: major system crashes when using non organ sounds, overdrive buzzy,
still need a ventilator
It uses the same organ engine as the xk3c, but seems to have a superior
chorus vibrato and inferior overdrive section. Most are disappointed that
the leslie sim is not state of the art.
Users are still waiting for updates from Suzuki to solve the operating
system crashes.

I thought at least one of our forum members said they were expecting their
new SK1's yesterday... so where are the reviews?? I checked my email this
morning expecting to get the scoop (rather than the hype), and nothing...?
Come on...!!
