I worked on the Synergy project which was derived from the GDS. The Synergy never got the recognition I thought it deserved
but besides the Wendy/Walter Carlos stuff it’s all over Steely Dan and Hall & Oats albums. I was fortunate to have one as well
as many of the synth’s from that period. The other fairly rare synth I had was a Prophet 10 with the sequencer and horrible tape
drive built in. I wish I still had all the keys from my past…I could start a museum ☺!

Subject: [CWSG] W. Carlos (Synths) Crumar related

Hi All,

Came back to http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendy_Carlos

Formerly had heard as Walter Carlos when I heard him by first time on mid 70s playing Brandenburg Concert No. 3 as here:

http://www.goear.com/listen/f07aa0c/concierto-de-brandenburgo-3-allegro-walter-wendy-carlos

In 1982, she scored the film Tron for Disney. This score incorporated orchestra, chorus, organ, and both analog and digital synthesizers.

In the Spanish version of Wendy Carlos wikipedia page,
can be has read this not found in English wiki page:

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendy_Carlos

"En 1982 she scored the film Tron for Disney TRON . This score incorporated orchestra, choir, organ music and analog synths (Moog modular) as digitales GDS ( CRUMAR General Development System )

A synth that employed phase modulation and additive processing.

Let me say that Crumar was already there unless since 1982, hope that heritage should be an asset when building the new CRUMAR MOJO (Hammond clone expected to be launch by JULY 2011).

Hope to know if any demo is already available.

Best,

Rafael
