Subject:Bruce Katz

Hi Cloners,
I went to the Syracuse (NY) Blues festival yesterday to see a keyboard
clinic given by Bruce Katz. If you haven't heard him check him out on
the web. He is a B-3 master. However, for the clinic he was playing a
Nord C1 with a SpeakEasy Leslie set up. the sound was great as was his
playing. He is also a monster piano player but I didn't go to see
that.Bruce is very friendly and helpful even though he was jetlagged
because he had just returned from Europe.

It was a small venue and Bruce played solo most of the time. I learned
a great deal from watching him closely. I also got to talk with him a
little about midi accordion. I wish I had asked him about charts but
forgot about it till later.

A half hour after his keyboard clinic he played with the Alex B. Sutras
blues band on a B-3. What a player!
