Hi Bruce,

I'm sure that many others can chime in here, but ...

While there are many variations, the "stock" lower manual settings tend to be simpler settings, to emulate upright or electric bass.

83 8000 000
86 8000 000
80 8000 000
etc.

Sometimes, the lower manual is raised by an octave:

00 8840 000
00 8800 000
etc.

A lot depends on whether the lower manual is being used as left-hand bass, or as an accompaniment/alternative to the upper manual. Since I play with a bass player nearly 100% of the time, my settings focus on the latter. I like to make the lower manual a slightly darker version of the upper manual. If the upper manual is --

88 8850 000

then the lower manual is something like --

87 8000 000

If the upper drawbars have more harmonics --

88 8864 448

then I bring up the lower manual to compensate --

88 8800 000

Sometimes the lower manual has to be scaled back to maintain the proper balance between the two. In this case 88 8000 000 might become 66 6000 000 or even 00 7650 000.

Regards,

-BW
