Subject:Re: Motion Sound Pro-3X VS Pro-3Tm
I wish I could compare Pro-3X with 3Tm. Pro-3X doesn't seem to growl
naturally, and it just distorts. When it distorts, it sounds pretty
bad, and it's a little bit uncomfortable. I think C1 does a better
job on this. I thought if I had 3Tm with Tung Sol 12AX7, I could get
better sound...
C1 sounds great. I love it. I have XK-1, but I like C1 better. I
compared XK3 with C1, and both sounds almost the same without leslie
sim and overdrive. The feel of the keys on C1 is close to the real
thing. It's light, and it makes easy to carry all the stuff (C1,
Roland PK-5, Roland EV-7, Motion Sound Pro-3X, Barbetta Sona 32C,
keyboard stand, and bench). With this setting, I can do almost the
same thing like B3 with Leslie. I'm playing with the guitar player
George Freeman who played and recorded with Richard Groove Holmes
and Jimmy McGriff, and he loves the sound too!
Well, in order to get closer to the real sound, I guess I have to
get the real leslie or SE Road Box, but I prefer smaller stuff...
Any ideas? Well, I wish I could hear Pro-3Tm...
