Subject:Roland AX1 battery pack?
I've played my AX1 before using the power adapter from a Roland A30-
something. But for some holiday fun it'll be more convenient with
batteries, so I want to try its battery pack. There's a ready-made
plastic piece with it that snaps in 6 AA batteries under the cover.
I could get some rechargeables - or maybe I don't need to if the six
batteries last a long time, so I'd be buying batteries a few times a
year. I wouldn't be playing it that often, but it's fun when I do.
I stiched a piece of velcro on the right knee of a pair of pants I
wear playing, with the opposite piece of velcro on the bottom of the
AX1 (took the guitar strap holder off). So I play it sitting down
with the keytar about a 45 degree angle up from my knee - I can't
take the pull of the keytar strap on my neck. I play with my left
hand reaching over the top to play lower notes which gives support to
the keytar with right hand playing 'lead.'
Anyway, whoever's got some experience with battery life playing one
of these, all info/tips will be appreciated.
