Subject:Re: Using Roland PK-5 pedalboard with another brand keyboard???

They work just fine together, but I'd prefer a different bass sound.
I've tried to play my Korg Triton Le, my Yamaha DX-7, and my Yamaha DX-21
with the
PK-5, but get no sound at all.
The VK-8 and the Korg, and Yamaha's all work together through MIDI just by
plugging
them in.
Does anyone know why the PK-5 can't play the Korg and Yamaha keyboards??
TIA
Walter
A possibility if you haven't checked that your other keyboards doesn't match. I believe the VK-8 pedal would be channel 3, and your PK-5 is probably matched to that. Try changing the PK-5 to channel 1 or try changing the other keyboards to channel 3.
BTW I sometimes like to use ome EP sounds for bass. Also some other programs can be used with some reprogramming of amp envelopes.
