Subject:Bought a MS-145 (Volume Pedal?)

I went ahead and ordered the MS 145. It comes Friday, and I will
report back my impressions. In the manual it says "Do not use an
analog volume pedal" (like a guitar volume pedal). Well, currently I
DO use an Ernie Ball Stereo pedal. I have a Yamaha 88/Motif I use for
piano and any other sounds--which is stereo, and an EMU B3 rack
driven by a Roland A37 controller, also stereo, but I think stereo on
this only helps the Leslie sim, which I'll no longer use.

So do I use a midi continuous pedal then? I assume I'd have to set my
controller(s) up to recognize the pedal, and then assign it a CC# for
volume (I am only semi MIDI-literate, and I'd rather play than
program).

I suppose I'll continue using the Roland KC500 for the piano on my
R&B band gigs (plus the organ/MS 145), and just the organ/MS 145 for
jazz gigs.

BTW, the EMU has a bunch of "dry" patches that you use when you don't
need Leslie sim....and, I'll probably ditch the EMU as soon as I
manifest some more cash, and replace it with...Korg/Nord/Roland/???.

Many of you are way-more gear literate than I am, so I really
appreciate any replies or advice.
