If you are talking about the Roland KC-500, I played it for many years and have just recently changed this year, initially to a Mackie SRM 450 and now to a Motion Sound KP200s. It is plenty loud, look decent, has casters, has multiple inputs and sounds fairly decent for non-piano sounds. It does a poor job on piano and, sonically, just does not compare to the other options out there. There is just better stuff out there now. It consistenly gets poor reviews on forums such as Harmony Central where most folks seem to actually hate it.

Haven't seen anyone mention the KC-550.
I take it they're not too popular.
Anyone care to comment on their weaknesses?
Thanks
