Subject:Pro145
I found one online- at 8thstreet.com for $1799. Compared to 1515 for
the Speakeasy road leslie, plus 130 for the 80 watt horn, and I'm
not sure if they give you the cable, which is another $80 for a 15'.
So the price is close. And the weight is surely less on the pro145,
and it's a bit smaller dimension wise.
I had a Pro3T before- it was a real nice piece. I can't see this
being any less quality. The only downfall is the 12" woofer. Other
pluses- built in mics and full control of all the ramp speeds. No
belts or anything like that. Plus, it has a pre or post 12AX7 input-
so if you used another pre like a Speakeasy, you could bypass the
built in tube.
Now I'm thinking again. I was all set to call Speakeasy tomorrow. I
may be calling 8th street instead! I'm still going to get the
Speakeasy preamp, that's a given.
