I, too, use the BX3 but not as a sound source but as a midi
controller for the B4. You may think that buying a BX3 for a midi
controller is excessive. It is. When I bought it I had high hopes
that it would become a replacement for my B3.
It didn't come close and since I had to request a special order to
get it, it is not returnable. SOOO, I did the next best thing and
decided to use it to control the B4. In this capacity it works like
a champ.
I had Calzone custom build a road case for it and it is fine. Since
Calzone is around the corner I saved a pile of dough by not having to
ship the thing. If anyone needs a case I highly recommend them as I
knkow them personally and they do a great job. A LOT less weight
than a B3 and I can move it by myself.
There are no wheels on the case but a good two-wheeler works fine.
That way I can use the cart for other things. I like Tony's idea of
a removable cart/tray so I'm going to design and build one of those
for the BX3 case.
The cased BX3 takes up very little space in my van and fits nicely
with room to spare behind the last bench seat near the rear doors. I
also use the van with seats throughout for the family and running
around town.
Now that I have the SRM450 I've gained even more real estate in the
van.
I'm Happpy van Camper.
