Subject:RE: Old Yamaha Clone
We've got a decent soundcheck time set aside, I've got a spare tier
available for my stand, and I'll have my Alesis anyway, so I figure I've
got nothing to lose. Most of the writeups I saw on harmony central
about the sk-20 seem to indicate that the drawbar tone is passable, and
it's mainly lacking in the warmth department. I'm thinking I'll just
bring my Bellari tube pre to crunch it up a little bit and go for it.
Anyway, I'll let you all know how it goes. Heck, if the results are
decent, maybe I'll be able to buy it from him cheap, so I could at least
get into some drawbars until I can save up for the electro (it'll
probably be the electro3 by the time I'm ready!). It wouldn't take much
to improve on the Alesis in the organ department...
Thanks for the info!
