Are all the sounds coming through the monitors, or do you have various sound
sources (guitar/bass amps, live drums) that the monitors will compete with?
If it's the latter, it could be problematic. If it's the former, the quality
of your monitors is the factor. If it's just your playing, the monitor
quality is less critical.
I use an old pair of Tannoy 6.5 monitors for my home playing with no
problems.
