You need to turn the Local Off on your EP7. Not
having one, I can't tell you how to find it, but
basically what the local off does is separate the
"sound engine" from the keyboard. Then it will rely
solely on your midi box to allow it to trigger. With
local ON, the keyboard is triggering its sound engine
regardless of what midi channel is selected.
