Two things I'd do:

1) Replace the rubber tires (O-rings) on the wheels between the upper &
lower motors

2) Make sure the slow motor is properly adjusted so that it's shaft
contacts the rubber tire enough to drive it in chorale speed, but retracts
smoothly for the tremolo speed.

There are instructions for the adjustment of the slow motor in the Leslie
service manuals, which are available on Captain Foldback's web site

Subject: [CWSG] Resources for Leslie motor FAQ

Folks,

I have a newly acquired road Leslie and the slow speed is not fully
functional. The fast speed works like a charm. The guy I bought it from
believed they just needed a little tinkering. The upper rotor spins very
lazily and the low rotor does not move except at fast speed. I can hear the
motor running but no action. I have not gone in there yet and was hoping to
read some step by step guidelines on the web. If anyone has some links
available, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Eric Lawson
