Subject:Carpal Tunnel

Just thought that I'd add something to the excellent advice you have been
given on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

I personally know or am aware of probably 250 people with Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome, or at least similar symtoms, with well over 100 having surgery to
correct/relieve the problem. Much less than 1/2 were given long term
relief/cured by surgery.

Similar symptoms can be caused by other things, such as arthritis, nerve
ailments (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc), pinched nerves (and
not necessarily in hands-my wife's problems most likely stem from a pinched
nerve due to spinal cell (disc) degeneration in her neck), poor blood
circulation to hands, diabetes, etc, aggreviated by hand position. (though
keyboard players definitely are primary targets for the real thing)

Thought I'd add this in case you see an MD that immediately recommends
surgery.
