Subject:Re: What would you improve/solve in the B4 ?
steve hayes said that when they were doing their research that they ran a hammond w/out its pre-amp, and it sounded just as bad as a clone. that just proves the point.
David Jacques wrote:Hate to repeat what all have been saying.. but the simple solution to
most of these issues is the Speakeasy preamp. It really does add a lot
of clarity and balls to the sound of a clone... and it smoothes out the
top end of the CX3, which is a joy! In fact, I wish I kept my V1.0 CX3
operating system as the SE really solved the harshness problem... I
played without the Speakeasy on Saturday night and the top end of the
V2.0 CX3 sounded fine, but the rig lacked the clarity in the midrange
that the SE provides. Worth every dollar!
