Hi,
There are quite a few clones, all which have their happy owners, so
there are a few to check out.
I bought an Electro 2, and so far I haven't come across any
disgruntled owners. This product releases new voices over the
internet and even the operating system can be up-graded, so the
product won't ever be out of date. The sounds are stunning, including
electric pianos and a brand new accoustic piano and superb clavinet.
The only complaint of any real significance is that it has
pushbuttons to set the drawbar positions, and an LED drawbar display.
As you aren't used to drawbars this won't matter at all. The
advantage is that when you change patches, the display shows the
correct drawbar configuration. You can alter drawbar settings on the
fly just like a fully-fledged drawbar manual.
There is another list on Yahoo exclusively for this keyboard.
I've tried many clones out, and for me, the Electro represents the
best value and sound at present. Check out the www.clavia.se web-site
for info and mp3 downloads.
Regards, Thomas.
