Subject:Double Manual MIDI Controllers

As a new member to this group, I want to thank Bruce, and everyone
else for a forum that I have been looking for for a long time. I have
not finished reading all the posts, but I want to add my 2 cents:

The perfect Hammond B-3 clone has yet to be produced, but we are
getting closer all the time. We B-3 purists are a hard bunch to
please, but we all anxiously await the next re-creation. The hardest
thing to find, for us, is a double manual, lightweight, programable
controller with drawbars and Leslie control, and (bass)pedals, with
believable sound, same keyboard feel and response, that totally mimics
the B-3/122/147 Leslie, and has good MIDI implementation.

I have read reviews and owner testimonials of the Korg CX-3, Roland
VK-7 (77),Voce V-3 (which I also own) and all the rest, and I still
have to say that my Hammond/Suzuki XB-5 with Leslie 302, is a tough
combination to beat. Yes, it has some limitations, but as a triple
manual (2 KBDS + pedals) MIDI controller, with it's programability,
it's only competition is the Roland VK-77. I haven't seen any
comparisons of the two, and I would like to. I got the newest
keypads,
which made a big difference, and this thing feels and sounds great!
More manufacturers need to address the " dual keyboard" thing, with
pedals, so that we can be "comfortable".
Organically...Mitch
