Subject:Preamp for CX3 shrillness

The latest report from the trenches. I now use a Guitar POD as a preamp
between the CX3 and the JBL EON G2. This effectively warms up the sound and
allows me to "dial out" shrillness that cannot be readily "programmed out" by
the CX3 edit controls..

I did A/B the Rotosphere and the POD. Surprisingly, the POD worked better
than the Rotosphere as a CX3 preamp. The Rotosphere fattened up the tone,
but did so unevenly across the keyboard and with more attenuation of the high
octave than I felt I could live with.

I have not experimented with higher-end preamps. My tube amps hiss, so those
are retired.
